Getting started: Roastery

A Roastery account is for commercial coffee roasters. It includes everything in the Home Roaster plan, plus support for multiple locations, a team, advanced analytics, and a public storefront with shareable QR codes for your bags.

What a Roastery account is for

  • Running roasting operations across one or more locations
  • Managing green coffee inventory, recipes, and roast records
  • Inviting a team with role-based access
  • Sharing public taste profiles and generating QR codes for retail bags

First steps after signing up

  1. Pick the Roastery persona. On the account setup screen, choose Commercial Roaster and enter your roastery name. This starts your 14-day free trial.
  2. Set up your location. Your account starts with a location. Review its details in account settings, and add more locations as your operation grows.
  3. Add green coffee. In the roasting section, add your green beans so your team can roast against real inventory.
  4. Create recipes and profiles. Build versioned recipes and roast profiles your roasters can follow for consistent results.
  5. Log roasts. Record production roasts against your recipes and green coffee.
  6. Generate QR codes for your bags. Mark a coffee as shareable in the Sharing section to create a public taste profile, then download a QR code to print on the bag. See Setting up sharing and QR codes.

Tips

  • Invite your team early so roasters and tasters can start logging. See How to invite your team.
  • Each location can have its own users; assign roles to keep access tidy.
