Using Roastr
How to invite your team
If you run a roastery, you can invite teammates to your account. Each person gets a role that controls what they can see and do. Only account owners and admins can send invitations.
Roles
Roastr uses four roles, from most to least access:
- Owner — full control of the account, including billing and account deletion.
- Admin — manages settings, users, and most of the account, but not ownership-level actions.
- Roaster — can create and edit coffees, roasts, recipes, and brews at their assigned location.
- Taster — read access plus the ability to log brews and tasting notes at their assigned location.
Owners and admins have account-wide access. Roasters and tasters are assigned to one or more specific locations.
Steps
- Open the users area in account settings (Administrative → Users).
- Start a new invitation.
- Enter the teammate's email address.
- Choose their role. If you pick roaster or taster, also select the location or locations they should have access to.
- Send the invitation. Roastr creates an invite link tied to that email.
- The teammate accepts the invitation when they sign in — pending invitations appear on their account setup or invitations screen.
Tips
- Invite people early so they can start logging brews and roasts during your trial.
- You can change someone's role or location access later from the users area.
- Adding users to additional locations may affect your subscription cost — Roastr shows a billing preview before you confirm.
