Account & billing

How to cancel or delete your account

There are two different things you might want to do, and they are not the same. Cancelling stops paying but keeps your account. Deleting removes your account and data. This article covers both.

Cancel your subscription (keep your data)

If you no longer want a paid plan but want to keep your logged coffees and brews:

  1. Open the Billing section in account settings.
  2. Cancel or downgrade your paid subscription.
  3. Your account returns to the free Coffee Lover tier and your data is kept. You can upgrade again any time.

Only the account owner can change billing.

Delete your account (permanent)

Deleting removes your account and all of its data. Roastr gives you a 30-day grace period so a delete is not instant — you can change your mind.

  1. Go to Account Settings → Privacy & Data. This section is visible to the account owner.
  2. Click Delete account.
  3. In the confirmation dialog, type DELETE to confirm.
  4. Your account is scheduled for deletion 30 days from now. All data is permanently erased after that date.

Restore within the grace period

Changed your mind? As long as you are still inside the 30-day window, open Account Settings → Privacy & Data and click Restore account. A banner shows the scheduled deletion date while a deletion is pending.

Export your data first

Before deleting, you can download a copy of everything. In Account Settings → Privacy & Data, click Export my data.

Tips

  • If you only want to stop paying, cancel your subscription — do not delete the account.
  • Deletion is permanent after 30 days and cannot be undone past that point.
